PREMO launches its new Key Cylinder Antenna for immobilizer applications in the automotive sector.
Key points:
Nowadays, the most advanced ignition block systems include an electrical subsystem together with the mechanical blocking. This electronic circuit has a cylinder shape emitter antenna around the key locking place. This antenna generates a magnetic field to trigger a transponder integrated in the keyfob. The transponder allows the key circuit to answer with a unique identifier. Only if this identifier is validated by the system the vehicle will start.
The Keylock Cylinder Antenna is designed to emit a RF signal and identify the customer´s key in the ignition system. The antenna will be placed in the Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder, inside the vehicle.
The KCA can be manufactured with the inductance, resistance and quality factor values; and working frequencies required by the customer. The antenna is offered with standard pin layout to assemble it like an external module added to the ignition circuit. It can be delivered also with output wires upon request.
Since it can be exposed to the final customer, the antenna surface finishing achieves the highest quality requirements. PA66 (ABS optional) overmoulding ensures the IP67 classification.
The antenna can be configured to achieve the inductance values and resistance required, in the 35uH and 10uH range, with a quality factor adapted to customer needs.
All the specifications fulfill the requirements of AEC-Q200, ISO 9001 y ISO TS.
With this solution PREMO completes its emitter antenna range and gives to its customers a high added value solution to satisfy 100% of the inductive components needs in a vehicle.
